IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING notification of Bereavement, our complete service, including the last offices, will be available to you. It is our custom to take responsibility for all aspects of the funeral arrangements, once we have been instructed.

IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. If the death occurs at home (and once the doctor has given his permission) we will come as soon as requested and remove the deceased to our premises, perform hygienic treatment and the body will then remain in our Chapel of Rest until the funeral. The deceased after hygienic treatment, can be returned home if the family so desire. If the death occurs in a hospital, the deceased is automatically taken to the Hospital Mortuary. After the doctor has issued the necessary certificates, the deceased will be removed to our premises and can, if desired, then be returned to the house.

DEATH CERTIFICATE. We arrange with the doctor to collect the death certificate and it is our responsibility to ensure correct registration. For this, the full names and age of the deceased are required, and in the case of a married, widowed or divorced lady, the names of her husband and previous husbands. We do not need a birth or marriage certificate if the above information is known. The family should indicate how many copies of the death certificate they require, and we ensure they are obtained. We forward one of the copies direct to the Social Security Department, and they will send forms to the person being responsible for paying the account. This ensures that the death grant is received by everyone who is entitled to it. Death Certificates are usually available 24 hours after registration, but delays in registration occur when post mortems or especially inquests take place.

FUNERAL SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS with Minister, cemetery or crematorium are made by us. You may well wish to talk over the service arrangements, hymns and music with your minister, please ask and we will make an appointment for you. At the Crematorium there is no resident Minister, and you have a free choice. If you do not have any preference, we arrange one on your behalf, usually the Minister in the district in which there are family connections. If you require the Coffin to be in place at the Church prior to the Service, please indicate as early as possible.

CREMATION DOCUMENTS. You will be asked to complete (with our assistance) an "Application for Cremation." This form will have to be witnessed, and then we take the responsibility for presenting it, together with the Death Certificate and the Doctor's Cremation Forms, to the Medical Officer of Health, for approval. Persons entitled to witness the applicant's signature have to be householders.

OUR CHAPELS OF REST
are at our premises at 4 Woodland Road West. Visiting is welcome without prior appointment Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. -4.45 p.m. and on Saturdays by appointment. In the event of these hours being unsuitable, please telephone for special arrangements.

NEWSPAPER NOTICES and acknowledgements can be prepared and inserted by us in any local or national newspaper.

FUNERAL LIMOUSINES carry 7 passengers. If there is a special route you wish the cortege to take, please inform us as soon as possible.

FLOWERS. Most families usually make their own arrangements for flowers but, if requested, we can order them for you. It is customary that florists deliver to our premises, about two or three hours before the funeral. We list the names and present a list to the family, but cards are not removed unless specifically requested. At the Crematorium, the principal flowers are displayed in front of the Crematorium. If ashes are buried in a family grave we undertake to remove the flowers to the family grave.

MONUMENTAL. When an interment takes place in an existing grave, we give instructions for any memorial work to be removed. It is not replaced automatically - specific instruction has to be given. If you have a preference as to which Monumental Company you wish used, please inform us at the first interview. If any help with this is required, or with arranging new memorials, or getting comparative quotes, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We also provide a comprehensive monumental service.

FUNERAL STATIONERY. We can show samples and arrange printing of Service Sheets, Thank-You Cards, etc., if required.

ATTENDANCE CARDS. These are available on request. They are placed on the pews prior to the service, collected afterwards and delivered to the family at a later date. They are intended to give a record of attendance at the funeral and are especially useful when the service is at a different place to the interment.

THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE at the Crematorium is open for viewing during normal office hours, Monday to Friday. Application Forms and advice on suggested inscriptions can be obtained from our Office.

OVERSEAS. We have considerable experience world-wide, in the repatriation of human remains to and from the United Kingdom. Our membership of the National Association of Funeral Directors gives us world-wide contacts with reputable firms.

BURIAL AT SEA - by arrangement.

PERSONAL EFFECTS. From the General Hospital: these are usually collected by ourselves and passed on to the family. Effects from other hospitals are usually collected by the family. We can undertake this if required.

JEWELLERY. If the deceased has any rings or other articles of jewellery on his/her person at time of death, we would be obliged as to your instructions at the time of making the funeral arrangements.

LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION OR PROBATE. Normally you should contact your solicitor, accountant or Bank Trust Co. on these matters, as no assets of a deceased person can be released without the production of a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration. However, enquiries regarding personal applications for Grants of Probate or Letters of Administration should be made to The Probate Registry, 1st Floor, Bron Castell, High Street, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 1 YS.

ALL FEES AND EXPENSES are normally paid by us, and included in a single account. Should any delay be envisaged in settling the account, please let us know so that mutually acceptable arrangements regarding eventual payment can be made. Please ask for an itemised estimate, and should you feel that your resources are limited in this respect, arrangements can be made and advice given, to assist.
